The Wedding
Stepping into the Louvre after closing, when the galleries stand empty and the light turns from gold to crimson. Crossing the gardens of Versailles at the hour when eight million visitors have vanished, and the Château recovers its first purpose: to receive. Sitting at a table set between the rows of a Bordeaux Premier Cru in September, when the harvesters begin at dawn and the air smells of crushed grapes and wet earth.
A wedding in France is a rhythm: that of the stone, the vine, the river, the light shifting from one act of the evening to the next. The galleries of the Louvre after hours, that is La Nuit au Musée. The Micro Wedding
Setting a long table beneath the plane trees of the Mas de la Rose, fifteen places facing the Alpilles. Or descending into the courtyard of a Loire château, a single table within the tuffeau walls, letting dinner stretch until the stone turns from white to rose. Or choosing a villa at the water’s edge, thirty loved ones, the sound of the waves behind every toast.
Fewer guests, more presence. The micro wedding is the wedding where everyone knows one another, where the toast addresses the whole table, where every detail is seen because every gaze meets.

The Elopement
Slipping away, just the two of you, without a witness, without a sound.
Meeting again in a mas of the Alpilles, dry stone and closed shutters. Or in the nave of Sénanque in winter, where eight centuries of silence have shaped the acoustics. Two voices. No speeches. No seating plan. The wedding brought back to its first gesture: two people, two witnesses, a place beautiful enough to carry the weight of that choice.
