Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French company for all-inclusive weddings. With Émilie and the whole team, we're already planning weddings for 2027 and 2028.

  • A French company, licensed for live events Your contract is governed by French law, and written in English too
  • Insured for professional liability
How much does a wedding at Château de la Couronne cost?

From €180,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests between October and May: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. For a date from June to September, the price follows the château's seasons. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you its estate with its rooms, and its own kitchen caters the whole weekend, on top. You then bring together a wedding planner from its list, the setting-up of the big day, the flowers, the music and the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 500 outdoors, 120 for a ceremony indoors and 100 at table in the banquet hall. 56 of you sleep on the estate. Beyond 100 guests, we plan a rain marquee with the château, in case the weather turns.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the château and reply in writing. Its 2027 and 2028 diaries are open, for weekends only: from Friday 4 pm to Monday 11 am.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, and it's often the best moment: at the end of the yew alley, by the ponds, or under a floral arch near the fountain. The gardens have four ceremony spots, depending on how many you are. You choose who marries you, in English, French or both, and what gets said.

Can we have our civil wedding in Marthon?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Marthon town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Angoulême TGV station is 1 h 45 from Paris, then 30 minutes from the château by taxi. Limoges, the nearest airport, is an hour's drive. 56 of them sleep on the estate, and for the others we share the best addresses around.

How do our guests get back after the party?

56 of them sleep on the estate, a few steps from the dance floor. The others stay in the villages around, and we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

Where do we get ready?

In the château's suites, set up for the moment, with a dress form, a clothes valet, a steamer and a chair for hair and make-up. And if one of you prefers to get ready apart, the billiard room waits with friends and a drink.

Is the caterer set by the château?

Yes: the château's own kitchen cooks all weekend, and a partner caterer handles the drinks reception and the dinner on the big day. One menu for everyone, a free-from menu for special diets, and the tasting is offered. You may bring your own wines for the reception and dinner.

What is the Sunday pool party?

The big moment of the day after, open to all your guests: the heated pool and its loungers, the garden bar, a barbecue on the terrace and ice creams, from 1 pm to 8 pm.

Will our grandparents manage easily?

Yes. The Garden Suite is on the ground floor, with an accessible bathroom, and has its own garden terrace. High chairs and cots are lent on request, and dogs are welcome with the château's agreement.
