The area

The estate neighbours Rougiers, a village of the Sainte-Baume with a small Sunday market, about ten kilometres from Saint-Maximin, whose basilica, begun in 1295, is the most important Gothic building of Provence. For those who arrive early: the walk up to the Sainte-Baume grotto, or the Gueules Rouges museum in Tourves, on the red bauxite mines.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French company for all-inclusive weddings. With Émilie and the whole team, we're already planning weddings for 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Domaine de Blacailloux cost?

From €94,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. Your exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you have it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the estate directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. Blacailloux rents you its reception venues and its bastides for the weekend, pours its own wines and opens its address book. You then bring together the caterer, the decor, the flowers, the music and the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 200 at the table at La Julienne, 170 of them indoors under the stone vault, and 400 for drinks on its terraces. For a smaller wedding, the Hameau de Fontfresque seats 40 and hosts 100 for drinks. 42 of your guests sleep on the estate.

How late can we party?

Until 3 am. The 42 guests who sleep on the estate stay right there. For those staying in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, ten kilometres away, we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Which dates are still free?

The estate hosts a limited number of weddings each season, mostly in June and September. Tell us your date, we check with Domaine de Blacailloux and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, wherever you like on the estate: among the vines, under the old trees, or on the panoramic terrace facing the hills. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Tourves?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the estate. Tourves town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at Blacailloux.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Marseille Provence airport is 50 minutes away, Aix-en-Provence TGV station about 45, and Aix-en-Provence itself 30. The estate even has a private helipad, and 42 of your guests sleep on site.

Where do we get ready?

On the estate. A bastide is kept just for you two, to get ready in and to come back to at the end of the party. Your people get ready in the suites of the bastides next door.

And if it rains?

Everything moves indoors, and the estate plans it for every wedding: dinner under the stone vault of the Salle des Voûtes, up to 170 at the table, and the covered spaces of the estate for the rest of the day.

Can we come with children?

Yes, the bastides are made for families: every pool is fenced, La Julienne has a pool house and games, Aquino a children's room, Fontfresque extra beds. And on the brunch day, tennis and pétanque for everyone.

Which wines will be served?

The estate's own, all day long: organic whites, rosés and reds, Coteaux Varois, grown 400 metres up on red bauxite soil. You choose them at the tasting, and the estate's wine shop welcomes you six days a week, by appointment.
