The area

Barsac sits on the left bank of the Garonne, crossed by the Ciron, among sweet-wine vineyards: dozens of châteaux, among them Climens and Coutet, first growths in 1855. On Sunday morning, the market on place du Château d'Eau; and for the early arrivals, a Sauternes tasting at a neighbouring estate.

Fervenza is a French company for all-inclusive weddings. With Émilie and the whole team, we're already planning weddings for 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at the Domaine de Valmont cost?

From €51,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the estate directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The estate rents you its park and its halls from Saturday to Sunday, and offers its own kitchen. You then bring together the flowers and the decor, the music and the DJ, the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the estate keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 110 at table and 130 for a standing dinner, plus about twenty children in a room of their own. 80 of you sleep on site, and the others stay close, at addresses around Barsac.

Which dates are still free?

Tell us your date, we check with the estate and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in the park: an arch under the tall trees, or an aisle of chairs beneath a canopy of leaves. You choose who marries you, in English, French or both, and what gets said.

Can we have our civil wedding in Barsac?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the estate. Barsac town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the estate.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Barsac train station is in the estate's own street, on the line from Bordeaux, and Bordeaux, with its airport and TGV station, is 40 km away by road. 80 of them sleep at the estate, and for the others we share the best addresses around Barsac.

How late can the party go?

Until 4 in the morning. Dinner service runs until midnight, then the late bar takes over, and 80 of your guests are only a few steps from their beds.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

Where do we get ready?

In the estate's own rooms, among them two apartments and three superior rooms. Your closest friends get ready next door, and the day begins together, without leaving the estate.

And if it rains?

The arcade hall and the reception hall take over: over 300 m² under cover, for dinner and the party. The park and the terrace stay a few steps away, for drinks as soon as the sky clears.

And in the summer heat?

The park is very shady, so the ceremony under the tall trees stays cool, and dinner moves into the stone halls or onto the terraces once the heat eases. Some of the bedrooms are air-conditioned.

Will our grandparents and the little ones be comfortable?

Yes. One bedroom is adapted for reduced mobility, another is on the ground floor, and there is parking for about 80 cars on site. The children have a room of their own, where about twenty of them can play during dinner.

Can our guests taste the local Sauternes?

Yes, this is the place for it. Barsac is full of sweet-wine châteaux, among them Climens and Coutet, first growths in 1855, and the estate offers visits with tastings in the neighbouring properties. Perfect for the early arrivals.
