The area

Lioux is a small village at the foot of the Madeleine cliff, a limestone wall 7 km long, in the Luberon regional nature park. Gordes, 11 km away, fills its centre with a market every Tuesday morning, and Roussillon, 9 km away, glows with its ochre quarries: a lovely outing before the welcome evening.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French company for all-inclusive weddings. With Émilie and the whole team, we're already planning weddings for 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at the Mas de Florette cost?

From €48,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests, from November to March: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. Spring and summer cost more. Your exact price depends on your date and guest count, in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the mas directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The Mas de Florette rents you the whole property and gives you its list of caterers. You then bring together the caterer, the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer and the running of the day. With us, all of that is in your price, except the rooms, which the mas bills directly. Every choice stays yours, and the mas keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 100: the big party, dinner in the courtyard and dancing in the reception room, with the mas and its six bedrooms for your closest people. The others stay in the villages around, 7 to 11 km away.

Which dates are still free?

The mas hosts weddings all year round, and Saturdays from May to September go first. Tell us your date, we check with the Mas de Florette and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in front of the lavender, facing the Luberon hills, above the terraced park with its holm oaks and olive trees. Your words, your officiant, your people around you. And if the weather turns, the courtyard can be covered.

Can we have our civil wedding in Lioux?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the mas. Lioux town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the mas.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: the Avignon TGV station is an hour away, Marseille airport and the Aix-en-Provence TGV station 1 h 10. Once they arrive, everyone stays at the mas or in the villages around Gordes.

How do our guests get back after the party?

Those sleeping at the mas are already home. The others stay in the villages 7 to 11 km around. We give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

And if it rains?

The courtyard can be covered, and dinner stays where it was meant to be, between the stone walls. The reception room and its veranda, right next to it, take the dancing. And on mistral days, the courtyard is sheltered on three sides.

Until what time can we party?

When the dinner ends, the party moves into the reception room, with its bar, its lounge corner and its veranda, right next to the courtyard. The mas publishes no closing time: we set it with the venue and confirm it to you in writing.

Where do we get ready?

At the mas, which has a light-filled getting-ready room. One of you takes it, the other another bedroom of the mas, each with their own people. You each get ready on your side, and meet again at the ceremony if you wish.

When is the lavender in bloom?

The fields around the mas bloom from June to mid-July, depending on the year. The mas also keeps a small field in flower until the end of September, so even a late-summer wedding gets its touch of purple.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

Can we bring our own vendors?

Yes, and if you already have a vendor in mind, they're welcome. Your photos are included, with our photographers. If you already have yours, we welcome them into the team and adjust your price. For the table, the mas asks you to choose among its ten or so partner caterers, and we build the menu with the one you pick.
