The area

The château stands in Lançon-Provence, between the Étang de Berre and the Coteaux d'Aix vineyards, 15 minutes from Aix-en-Provence. The village market is on Tuesday morning, place du Champ de Mars, with a growers' market on Saturday. And in Aix, a trail of studs stamped with a C follows in Cézanne's steps through the old town.

How much does a wedding at Château La Beaumetane cost?

From €52,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests on a weekday, Monday to Thursday: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. A Saturday, or the whole weekend, costs more. Your exact price depends on your date and guest count, in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The château rents you its estate for the day or the weekend, with furniture and lighting, and shares its list of caterers. You then bring together the caterer, the drinks, the flowers, the decor, the music, the photographer and the running order. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 120, seated in the château's air-conditioned rooms, dance floor included. The smallest wedding the château has hosted gathered 17 guests. 45 of your people can sleep on site, the others in Aix-en-Provence, 15 minutes away.

Which dates are still free?

The château hosts weddings all year round, midweek as on weekends. Tell us your date, we check with Château La Beaumetane and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in the park: under the gazebo, or in the shade of the century-old plane trees, the vineyards beyond the railing. Depending on the season, you can also say yes in the 1901 stained-glass conservatory. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Lançon-Provence?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Lançon-Provence town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Marseille Provence airport is 15 minutes away, Aix-en-Provence TGV station 20, Marseille Saint-Charles 35. The château helps set up shuttles from the airport and the station, and 45 of your guests can sleep on site.

How do our guests get back after the party?

Those sleeping at the château are a few dozen steps from their room, in the former stables. For the others, staying in Aix-en-Provence or by Marseille airport, 15 minutes away, we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Where do we get ready?

At the château. For a Saturday or the whole weekend, two spaces wait for you, one for each of you, and the bridal suite inside the château, to end the evening steps away from the party.

And the heat in July?

The 29 plane trees keep the park in the shade, and the château's rooms are air-conditioned. Our take: the vows in late afternoon, drinks facing the vines at sundown, then dinner under the plane trees or inside, as the air cools.

Can we choose our caterer?

Yes. The château imposes no caterer and shares its list of local caterers, chosen for their service. We taste together, you choose, and the caterer you pick is in your price, along with the family estate's wines.
