The area

The château stands between Arles and Saint-Gilles, on the edge of the Camargue, near the Petit Rhône. Ten minutes away, Arles and its Roman and Romanesque monuments, a UNESCO World Heritage site. On Saturday mornings, its big market runs along more than two kilometres of boulevards; further out, the Camargue's flamingos and the beaches of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.

Fervenza is a French company for all-inclusive weddings. With Émilie and the whole team, we're already planning weddings for 2027 and 2028.

How much does a wedding at Château de Paon cost?

From €52,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the venue, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. Your exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you have it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the château directly?

You can, it's a beautiful house. The château rents you its spaces and its rooms, from 11 am the day before, and shares its contacts. You then bring together the caterer and the service, the tables and chairs, the cleaning during the party, the flowers, the music and the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the château keeps its own rate.

How many guests can we invite?

Up to 100, for the ceremony and the dinner. Outside, the courtyard and the tree-lined allée take the long tables for everyone. Under one roof, the Grand Paon seats 100, and the Petit Paon 40 for a smaller dinner. 26 of your guests sleep at the château.

Which dates are still free?

The château hosts a limited number of weddings each year. Tell us your date, we check with Château de Paon and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes: under the ancient elm, where the peacocks that named the château used to rest, or in the formal garden, facing the iron gazebo covered in roses. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

Can we have our civil wedding in Arles?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the château. Arles town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the château.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Nîmes airport is 20 km away, Avignon TGV station 45 km, Marseille airport 70 km. The nearest stations are Arles and Nîmes Pont-du-Gard. Those who drive park at the château, which has 50 spaces.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.

Until what time can we party?

As late as you like: the château sets no closing time, and couples have danced there until 6 am. Under the stars in the courtyard first, then in the Grand Paon, with the tower bar next door for a last glass.

How do our guests get back after the party?

26 of them only have a staircase to climb. The others stay in Arles or Saint-Gilles, and we give you the addresses, ready to share with your loved ones.

Where do we get ready?

At the château. One of you in the Héron suite, the whole east wing of the facade, with a room to get ready in and a bathroom in the tower. The other in the Campagne suite, on the west side, looking out over the fields and the orchard.

And if it rains?

Dinner moves into the Grand Paon, the air-conditioned ballroom that seats 100 guests, and drinks into the château's salons. The Petit Paon and the tower bar welcome those who want a quieter corner.

Can our guests enjoy the pool over the weekend?

Yes, all weekend: the pool is open from 7 am to 8 pm, towels are provided, and the pool house has its own bar, table and shaded lounge. Children swim with a grown-up.
