The area

Saint-Paul-de-Vence is a hilltop village between Nice and Cannes, still inside the ramparts ordered by Francis I, its lanes paved with pebbles. A short way from the hotel, the Fondation Maeght and its sculpture gardens. The little market runs on Wednesday and Friday mornings, on the place du jeu de boules: one game of pétanque and it's time for an apéritif.

Who is Fervenza?

Fervenza is a French company for all-inclusive weddings. With Émilie and the whole team, we're already planning weddings for 2027 and 2028.

  • A French company, licensed for live events Your contract is governed by French law, and written in English too
  • Insured for professional liability
How much does a wedding at La Vague de Saint Paul cost?

From €51,000, all-inclusive, for about 100 guests: the hotel, the table, the flowers, the music, your photos, and us on site. The exact price depends on your date and your guest count, and you get it in writing within a week.

Can the price change?

Once you agree, no. It only changes if you change the wedding: more or fewer guests, or something you add along the way.

What if one of our suppliers can't make it?

We replace them. They're our suppliers, under our contract, so the two of you have nothing to search for or renegotiate. You approve the choice, and we take care of the rest.

Can we insure our wedding?

Yes, if you wish. We can offer optional cancellation insurance dedicated to your wedding, placed with Lloyd's. It covers cancelling or postponing for reasons beyond your control, including if one of you can't be there, as set out in the policy terms.

What if we booked the hotel directly?

You can, it's a lovely house. The hotel privately hires you its 50 rooms for 24 or 48 hours, and its kitchen cooks your dinner. You then bring together the ceremony furniture and its shelter, the flowers, the sound and light for the party, the music and the photographer. With us, all of that is in your price, every choice stays yours, and the hotel keeps its own rate. You come to get married.

How many guests can we invite?

From 50 to 110 at table, in the restaurant, at round tables of ten. Up to 100 of them sleep at the hotel, two to a room, and children under 12 stay with their parents in the suites.

Will other hotel guests be there?

Only yours: the hotel is privately hired for your wedding, its 50 rooms, its garden, its pool, its spa and its restaurant. For 24 hours in April, May and October, 48 hours in June and September, everyone there is one of your people.

Which dates are still free?

The hotel hosts weddings from April to June, then in September and October. September, the month the hotel recommends, is usually booked six to nine months ahead. Tell us your date, we check with La Vague de Saint Paul and reply in writing.

Can we have a secular ceremony on site?

Yes, in the garden, under the olive trees: the space opens in the curve of the hotel, a few steps from the pool where the drinks follow. Your words, your officiant, your people around you.

What if it rains?

The drinks move to the hotel bar, dinner is in the restaurant and the party in the soundproofed room, so the whole evening is under cover. For the ceremony in the garden, we plan the sheltered option with you at the visit, and keep it ready.

Can we have our civil wedding in Saint-Paul-de-Vence?

In France, a civil wedding always takes place at a town hall, never at the hotel. Saint-Paul-de-Vence town hall can marry you if one of you, or one of your parents, lives there or has lived there for at least a month. Otherwise, the civil wedding happens in your own town, and the ceremony at the hotel.

Our guests are flying in. Is it easy for them?

Yes: Nice Côte d'Azur airport is about 25 minutes away, Cagnes-sur-Mer station 8.7 km, and the hotel has its own private parking. Once they arrive, they stay put: up to 100 of them sleep on site.

How do our guests get back after the party?

They simply go upstairs: the hotel's 50 rooms and suites are yours, a few steps from the room where you dance. In the morning, brunch is waiting for them on the terrace.

Where do we get ready?

One of you in one suite, the other in a second one, if you'd like the surprise: the hotel has four, 40 m² each, with a bedroom, a separate lounge and two terraces over the garden, the pool and the olive trees. The spa is open from 9 am for a quiet moment before the ceremony.

Will our grandparents be comfortable?

Yes: two rooms adapted for reduced mobility on the ground floor, private parking, and everything happens in one place: the ceremony in the garden, the drinks by the pool, the dinner in the restaurant, a few steps apart.

Will we see art during the wedding?

Yes: from April to October, the hotel exhibits artists in the bar, the restaurant and the gardens, so your guests dine among the works and pass sculptures on the way to the drinks. And the Fondation Maeght is close by, for those who arrive early.

Coming from abroad: how does it work?

Your contract is governed by French law, and also written in English.
