The Camargue is one of the last wild territories of Western Europe. Flat, saline, open: nothing built that the mistral cannot move. In the Camargue marshes, accessible only by barque plate, the traditional flat-bottomed boat the gardians use to move through the wetlands. The officiant is there before the guests arrive. There is no road, no dock, no path: only the reeds, the water, and the sound of the birds. The precise location is chosen with the partner manade in the weeks before the ceremony, depending on the season and the water level.

From May to October. May and June have the Camargue in bloom, the tamarisks, the sansouires greening again, the flamingos numerous on the lagoons. September and October offer the most golden light and mild evenings over the marshes. The mistral is more frequent in spring; the light is steadier in autumn. July and August are possible but the Feria reserves Arles; we choose the date with you.

Yes, as an addon. The equestrian spectacle at the Arènes is one of the most spectacular options Fervenza offers anywhere: gardians entering the Roman arena on horseback at dusk, torchlight, then a long table at the centre of the amphitheatre. The privatisation is negotiated directly with the City of Arles. The collection works without the Arènes. The Arènes make it indelible.

La Chassagnette, a former Camargue sheepfold set between a branch of the Rhône and the Étang de Vaccarès, is a few minutes from Arles, in the very territory of the ceremony. Fervenza privatises a section of the restaurant or the terrace depending on the configuration. The kitchen, one Michelin star and a Green Star, composes a menu drawn largely from the restaurant's own organic kitchen garden and from Camargue producers. The closing lunch the next day ends the celebration at the same standard, in a lighter register than the gardian's cabin dinner.
